Mit zunehmendem Alter wird unser K\u00f6rper langsamer und das gilt auch f\u00fcr unseren Magen. Die Produktion von Magens\u00e4ure nimmt ab, bleibt aber f\u00fcr den Abbau der Nahrung unerl\u00e4sslich. Magens\u00e4ure hat mehrere Funktionen; Es sterilisiert zum Beispiel die verzehrte Nahrung, macht sie sauer und aktiviert zudem die starke Protease (Eiwei\u00dfspalter) Pepsin und erm\u00f6glicht die Extraktion von Vitamin B12 aus der Nahrung. Anschlie\u00dfend gelangt die Nahrung in den Darm, wo sie weiter in die verschiedenen N\u00e4hrstoffe umgewandelt wird.<\/p>\n<p>Betain HCl mit Pepsin tr\u00e4gt mit einer t\u00e4glichen Einnahme von 1.500 mg Betain zu einem normalen Homocysteinstoffwechsel bei.
